Q: Do I need to bring my computer in?
A: No. Q-Point services are all on-site, at your home or office. If the system can not be repaired on site, then Q-Point will take care of disconnecting and transporting your computer to our service centre. When the computer has been repaired, we will deliver and setup your system for you!

Q: I have a small business and need some computers installed and setup - can Q-Point help?
A: Yes! From 1 computer to 100+ computers. We will take care of setting up your systems.

Q: Help! I think my computer may have a virus!
A: Q-Point can help with the removal of the virus from your system, as well as helping you to better protect your systems from further infestations. Note: Some viruses are destructive and the damage caused may not be reversible. It is important to back up your systems on a regular basis.

Q: I understand the need for regular backups - but I am not sure how to do this.
A: We can help develop a plan for regular backups, as well as regular system maintenance, such as virus scans, spyware and adware removal services as well as preventive disk maintenance measures.

Q: What is adware and how does it affect my system?
A: Adware is software that may have been installed on your computer from a remote site. Many free utilities that you download from the internet will install hidden software that sends details of the websites that you visit and other information from your computer (which can include your email address) to advertisers so that they may send you pop up ads and spam. Adware can slow your system down as it connects to the internet in order to 'serve' ads to your system.

Q: What is spyware?
A: Spyware is very similar to adware. While some spyware programs are sinister in nature, such as a remote control program used by a hacker, spyware programs are used to gather information about how one uses the internet and what sites you have visited.
